Welcome to the 2016 Spring Season!
The cleared to play list has been posted for a couple weeks and hopefully everyone was able to check out their status. We wanted to get some information out about tryouts, meet the coaches night and general start of the season updates. We will do our best to keep you updated! Lets hope for the snow to melt quickly after the Sunday/Monday storm.
Spring 2016 Updates:
Tryout information for Monday the 21st of March and the start of spring sports. Daily updates will be provided via the main page of www.gobishops.com. This time of year is very tricky. With the predicted weather on Sunday and Monday it really throws a twist in planning.
Meet the Coaches - Our meet the coaches night is 29 March 2016 at 7PM in the Auditorium. This is different than what was listed in the school calendar. All Spring Student Athletes must attend. At least one parent or guardian must attend one of the three Meet the coaches night during the school year. We do however highly recommend attending even if you have already been to the Fall or Winter meeting. This is an opportunity to hear what the coaches rules, philosophy and other important season information. A reminder the Athlete must attend regardless of attending in prior season.
Tryout times have been posted on gobishops.com. Here is the first day. (Please keep an eye on the web site and listen to announcements in school for updates with the predicted weather on Sunday/Monday).
Track and Field - Memorial field 2:45PM - 4:15PM
Girls Lacrosse - Memorial field 4:00PM - 5:45PM (Please stay clear of the track and field. Practice will still be going on for the track team. Meet at the locker room for check in).
Boys Lacrosse - Memorial field 5:30PM - 7:15PM (Please stay clear of the track and field. Practice will still be going on for the girls lacrosse. Meet at the locker room for check in).
Tennis - Presidents club in Quincy 3PM. (UPDATE - If weather does not allow us to use courts. There will be a meeting at the school at 3PM). More info as we get closer and see what weather brings).
Baseball and Softball - (Daily updates will be provided)
Inside (AWHS Gym) - Monday the 21st
Softball - 2:45 7th/8th/9th, 4:00PM for 10th/11th/12th
Baseball - 5:30PM 7th/8th/9th, 6:45PM 10th/11th/12th
We will keep an eye on the weather and post updates to any and all tryouts over the course of the week.
Apparel Store - We will open the Apparel store for Spring sports on Monday and close on Friday (After tryouts completed).
