Maddie Hussey - Archbishop Williams HS
Madison “Maddie” Hussey, an 8th grader at Archbishop Williams High School, is now completing her 6th season of Cross County and Track & Field. Due to her commitment to training, fierce competitiveness, and love of the sport, Maddie has accomplished an unprecedented number of achievements in these 6 seasons against varsity competition.
This past year, Maddie was a Catholic Central League (CCL) All-Star in both Cross Country and Outdoor Track, qualified for the State Class Meet in both indoor and outdoor track in several events, and placed 6th in the 2 mile in the Division 6 Outdoor Track State Class Meet and won 1 Mile at the CCL Outdoor Track Championship Meet.
On June 11 Maddie will be competing in the Massachusetts State Middle School Championships where she is currently ranked 2nd in the state in the 1 Mile and 4th in the 800 Meters.
Maddie is the 1st athlete from Archbishop Williams to qualify and compete in the National Championships since Sean Quigley won the 5,000 Meter National Championship in 2003. Maddie will be competing in 1 Mile at the Middle School National Championship in Eugene, Oregon on June 16.
